when it came to radio stations in my city Nashville,Tennessee the top station is WCJK-FM the format that they're known for are adult hits. However depending on the month this is liable to change, the other two most popular stations are  WNRQ-FM a classic rock station and WUBT-FM a "urban" or rap radio station. If you take a closer look at the list you will notice that there are five different country radio stations meaning that this is the most popular format in radio in Nashville. This is most likely because were considered the home of country music. The reason I believe that Adult hits are the most listen to station in Nashville could be because mostly there are older people who listen to the radio, while the younger people tend to listen to music that's on their phone rather then the radio.
